BOLAVEN PLATEAU COFFEE, WATERFALLS, AND SOFT TREEKING

This day will be dedicated to the discovery of the Bolaven Plateau. Located at an altitude of 1240 meters, this area is rich in coffee, tea, pepper trees and the cardamom and tropical fruit plantation, spread on the ground of an ancient basalt volcano.

The plateau covers four provinces of Laos: Salavan, Sekong, Attapeu and mainly Champassak. This is first the French who started operating the region by planting mainly coffee and bananas in the early twentieth century.

The region is also famous for its many waterfalls, some of which are in protected natural areas.

In addition, the area is populated by many ethnic tribes: Laven, Katou, Galoon, Nge, Alak, Souy and other groups of the Austro-Asiatic family that may be encountered in their own villages throughout our circuit.
