Explore the serene highlands of the Bolaven Plateau, a region celebrated for its cascading waterfalls, fertile coffee fields, and enduring ethnic traditions. This full-day journey offers a refined blend of natural beauty, culture, and local flavors.

Begin your day at Tad Champee Waterfall, a graceful cascade surrounded by lush forest, offering a gentle introduction to the plateau’s natural charm. Continue to Tad Fane Waterfall, the tallest in Laos, where twin streams plunge dramatically into a deep, green gorge. For those seeking a thrill, an optional zipline provides a breathtaking perspective of the falls and surrounding forest.

A short drive brings you to Tad Yuang Waterfall, where cooling mist, shaded viewpoints, and picnic areas create a refreshing retreat in the crisp mountain air.

Next, visit Lak 40 Café, set among gardens of coffee, tea, and cocoa plants. Enjoy freshly brewed drinks and browse locally made products while learning about the Bolaven Plateau’s reputation as the coffee heartland of Laos.

Continue to Ban Kok Phung Tai Market, a lively local market where villagers sell fresh produce, forest herbs, woven textiles, and locally grown coffee. A walk through the colorful stalls offers a genuine glimpse into everyday life on the plateau.

The journey continues to the Tad Lo area, a scenic landscape of rivers, forest paths, and small villages, ideal for a gentle walk and a deeper appreciation of the region’s natural surroundings. Nearby communities, including the Ngae people of Ban Khieng Tad Soung, maintain strong spiritual traditions, reflected in their ancestral worship and Ho Kuan ceremonial halls.

Conclude your journey at a village renowned for organic coffee production and Katu-style weaving. Local guide Mr. Vieng will share his knowledge of Bolaven coffee from seed to cup and invite you to enjoy a freshly brewed tasting.
