Set out on a Jeep adventure through the heart of Southern Laos! Discover hidden waterfalls, cross remote villages, and explore the secrets of coffee at Mystic Mountain Farm. Witness a glowing sunset from the volcano summit, and for early risers, a magical sunrise hike the next morning. Along the way, meet local ethnic groups, swim at Bamboo Waterfall, and wander through the mystical landscapes of Dan Xinxay. A journey of culture, nature, and pure adventure awaits!
DAY 1: PAKSE - BOLAVEN PLATEAU
Departure: 08.00 hrs
Your adventure begins at 9:00 AM at CC1971 Café, where you’ll swap your minivan for a rugged local Jeep. A scenic 45-minute ride takes you to Tad Moun Waterfall—the perfect spot to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the refreshing natural surroundings.
At 10:30 AM, the Jeep journey continues with a thrilling 1-hour drive through lush vegetable fields, where bumpy and muddy roads (especially in the rainy season) add to the fun of this true off-road experience. Arrive at the Mystic Mountain Coffee Farm around 11:30 AM, check in to your homestay, and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch with local flavors.
In the afternoon, join Mr. Khamsone, the passionate owner, for a fascinating coffee roasting and cupping demonstration, where you’ll taste the rich contrasts of Robusta and Arabica beans. Later, take a short hike to a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint before hopping back into the Jeep. From there, begin a steady climb to the top of the Volcano Summit, where sweeping 360° views create the perfect setting for an unforgettable sunset experience.
As evening falls, return to the cozy homestay. A home-cooked dinner awaits, and you’ll spend the night surrounded by the serene sounds of the mountains.

DAY 2: BOLAVEN PLATEAU - PAKSE
Departure: 08.30 hrs
Wake up to fresh mountain air, and if you’re an early riser, you may walk up the mountain for a magical sunrise view (weather permitting). After breakfast at the farm, set off in your Jeep for another day of exploration.
Your first stop is the Bamboo Village, where you’ll discover the traditional homes and daily life of the Laven and Suay ethnic groups, each with their own unique culture and heritage.
Continue your journey to the Bamboo Waterfall, a perfect setting for a picnic lunch and refreshing swim. The adventure then leads you to Dan Xinxay, a striking natural site filled with towering ancient rocks, tall trees, and seasonal bursts of pink blossoms. A peaceful temple nearby adds a touch of spiritual charm to this tranquil setting.
Finally, a 20-minute Jeep ride brings you to Lak 38, where your minivan awaits for the transfer back to Pakse, concluding your unforgettable 2-day Jeep adventure.
